Paul Wiseman's rehabilitation to Test cricket took
another step during the tour to India. Building on the good
impression made earlier in the year in Sri Lanka, Wiseman continued
to vindicate his choice as the preferred spinning support for Daniel
Vettori at a time when New Zealand was not blessed with resources.
There is still a need for him to bowl with greater consistency and
over longer periods. Signs were emerging that Wiseman still has
plenty to offer the side in the next few seasons. Although omitted
from the squad which toured England in 2004, Wiseman was handed a
recall for the Bangladesh tour in 2004-05 |
